• Position Overview:
• The Senior QA/QC Manager shall report to the Project Director / Project Head and serve as the PMC lead for Quality Assurance and Quality Control management across the airport development project
• The role shall be responsible for establishing, implementing, monitoring, and continually improving project-wide Quality Management Systems (QMS), quality governance frameworks, inspection and testing regimes, compliance monitoring processes, and quality performance improvement initiatives throughout the project lifecycle
• Quality Leadership & Governance
• Develop, implement and maintain the Project Quality Management Plan and Quality Assurance Framework
• Establishment: project-wide quality governance structures, reporting mechanisms, quality objectives, and performance monitoring systems
• Delivery: strategic quality leadership and guidance to the Project Director and Project Leadership Team
• Promote a culture of quality excellence, continuous improvement, and proactive quality management across all stakeholders
• Leadership: and mentor QA/QC engineers, inspectors, laboratory personnel, and quality teams deployed across the project
• Quality Assurance Management
• Establishment: and maintain ISO 9001 compliant Quality Management Systems for project delivery

Essential requirements and candidate background

• Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or other relevant Engineering discipline from a recognized university
• Overall, 15-20 years of professional experience in quality assurance and quality control management for large construction, infrastructure or industrial projects
• Minimum 10 years of relevant QA/QC experience on airport or aviation-related projects, including terminal buildings, airside infrastructure, runways, taxiways, aprons, ATC facilities, utility systems and operational airport environments
• Demonstrated experience in development, implementation, and administration of ISO 9001 Quality Management Systems for design, construction, testing and commissioning activities
• Experience: PMC, EPC, Design-Build, Independent Engineer, or Client-side project management environments
• Knowledge: airport construction standards, quality control procedures, material testing requirements, inspection methodologies, and commissioning protocols
• Knowledge: relevant Indian and international standards, including BIS, IRC, IS Codes, ASTM, ACI, ICAO, FAA, EASA and other industry standards, as applicable
• Experience: at least one Greenfield or Brownfield airport project of minimum 10 MPPA capacity involving terminal, airside or major airport infrastructure works

Education and qualification routes

• Degree / qualification: Master's degree in engineering/ construction management/ quality management or related discipline shall be preferred

Preferred experience and additional strengths

• Professional certifications in Quality Management, Lead Auditor (ISO 9001), Six Sigma, CQI/IRCA or equivalent shall be preferred
