Western Region apprenticeship overview

IndianOil’s Marketing Division, Western Region, invites applications for trade, technician and graduate apprenticeships under notice IOCL/MKTG/WR/APPR/2026-27. Training is for 12 months at notified locations in Maharashtra, Gujarat, Goa, Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Daman & Diu, and Dadra & Nagar Haveli. This is apprenticeship training under the applicable legislation, not a promise of a permanent IndianOil job after completion.

Discipline codes and qualifying courses

Technician codes 101–106 cover regular three-year diplomas in specified mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, civil, electrical-and-electronics or electronics branches. Trade codes 107–111 require Matric plus the corresponding regular two-year NCVT/SCVT-recognised ITI. Graduate code 112 covers regular full-time degrees such as BA, BCom, BSc or BBA. Codes 113 and 114 are Class 12 data-entry routes below graduate level, with a specified skill certificate required for code 114.

Marks, mode and passing-date restrictions

The notice generally specifies 50% aggregate for General, EWS and OBC-NCL candidates and 45% for applicable reserved positions; check the exact discipline clause. Courses must meet the regular full-time requirement. Diploma and graduate qualifications must have been acquired between 1 April 2023 and 30 September 2026; the trade and data-entry window is 1 April 2022 to 30 September 2026. Relevant recognised lateral-entry diploma candidates may qualify under the stated conditions.

Age and important exclusion rules

The normal age range is 18–24 on 30 September 2026. The notice provides category relaxations, including five years for eligible SC/ST and three for OBC-NCL reserved positions, with separate PwBD provisions. Higher professional qualifications such as BE/BTech, MBA, MCA, CA, ICWA or LLB can make a candidate ineligible. Prior apprenticeship limits, waiting periods and restrictions also apply; read them before choosing a training opportunity.

Selection, stipend and training terms

Selection is based on qualifying marks followed by document verification and pre-engagement medical fitness. IndianOil expressly states that there is no written test or interview for this notification. Stipend follows the applicable Apprentices Act and Rules; the notice does not provide one fixed amount for every discipline. Training does not guarantee employment, and the notified seats can change at management’s discretion.

Correct portal for each application route

Graduate and diploma candidates use NATS and IndianOil Western Region establishment ID WMHMCC000053. ITI and data-entry candidates use Apprenticeship India/NAPS with establishment ID E01172700332. Registration alone is not the same as applying: log in and apply to the relevant notified opportunity. Select the correct Western Region state and discipline, and follow the one-discipline condition rather than submitting unrelated multiple applications.

Dates, profile completion and documents

The application window runs from 5 October to 4 November 2026 at 5 p.m. Complete the portal profile accurately, including personal, education and category information. Keep qualification records, marksheets and applicable reservation documents ready for verification. Candidates with CGPA or grades need the institution’s recognised aggregate-percentage conversion evidence. Where the result date is absent, the notice asks for the appropriate institution’s result-publication certificate.

Location and medical-fitness considerations

Applicants must select opportunities within the notified Western Region states and territories; choosing another training location on the portal can result in rejection. Shortlisted candidates must satisfy IndianOil’s pre-engagement medical process and relevant fitness criteria. PwBD suitability is discipline specific, so check the official disability provisions instead of assuming every technical or trade code has the same reservation and suitability conditions.

Practical application check before submission

First map your course, branch, passing date and highest qualification to the exact code. Then check age, marks, previous apprenticeship history and portal establishment ID. Save your application acknowledgement and keep the same email and mobile number through training. Revisit IndianOil’s official apprenticeship page for updates. These checks help avoid selecting a plausible-looking portal entry that does not match this particular notification.
