Responsibilities and work described

• Set up, troubleshoot, and recover complex downtime issues for test equipment, including Testcell, Tester, Bagger, VDCS, and Conveyor systems, with minimal supervision
• Troubleshoot and resolve Testcell yield issues to maintain product quality, throughput, and equipment stability
• Research / execution: detailed investigations for quality incidents related to test equipment, perform root cause analysis, and implement effective corrective and preventive actions
• Execution: product conversions, equipment setup, calibration, and optimization to support various production and engineering requirements
• Monitoring: and analyze KPIVs using tools such as KPOV database, OEE tracking, Maintenance Logs, and Digital Preventive Maintenance systems to identify trends and drive equipment improvement actions
• Drive and support equipment upgrades, automation improvements, reliability enhancement, and continuous improvement projects to improve equipment performance and manufacturing efficiency
• Act as a technical trainer and mentor for test equipment, supporting upskilling and knowledge transfer activities within the team
• Execution: equipment inspections, preventive maintenance, and checklist verification in accordance with standard operating procedures and engineering requirements
• Support: engineers in daily technical activities, machine evaluations, qualifications, and special projects
• Demonstrate critical thinking and troubleshooting capability in identifying complex equipment issues and making effective technical decisions under high-pressure production conditions
• Maintenance: attention to detail and observation skills to identify abnormalities, equipment degradation, and potential failure indicators early
• Quickly learn and adapt to new equipment, technologies, and manufacturing processes with minimal guidance
• Quality / delivery: compliance with ISO standards, documentation practices, ESD requirements, and manufacturing procedures

Essential requirements and candidate background

• Experience leading and supporting Continuous Improvement Projects (CIP) to improve equipment performance, reduce downtime, enhance OEE, and optimize manufacturing processes
• REQUIRED:
• Diploma in Electrical, Electronics, Mechatronics and Mechanical
• 2-5 years’ working experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in equipment maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair
• Machine Installation & Commissioning
• Perform mechanical and electrical installation of test equipment and conveyor systems
• Experience: equipment setup, alignment, and calibration per engineering specifications
• Able to read and interpret engineering drawings, P&ID diagrams, and wiring schematics
• Familiar with utility hookup (power, vacuum, compressed air, chilled water)
• Troubleshooting & Fault Diagnosis
• Proficiency: systematic fault isolation using diagnostic tools (multimeter, oscilloscope, PLC diagnostic software)
• Able to troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and vacuum-related failure
• Experience: alarm analysis and root cause identification on automated equipment
• Capable of performing corrective and preventive maintenance (CM/PM)
• Equipment & Systems Knowledge
• Familiarity: conveyor/material handling systems is an added advantage
• Experience: automated test equipment (ATE) or similar production machinery
• Basic understanding of PLC/HMI systems (Mitsubishi, Siemens, or equivalent)
